The Osun Sengese Festival is a sacred cultural and spiritual gathering honoring Òṣun, the Orisa of sweet waters, fertility, beauty, diplomacy, healing, and prosperity.
Rooted in Yoruba ancestral tradition and devotion, this annual celebration brings together community members, spiritual practitioners, cultural leaders, and families to honor the sacred river and the life-giving power of water.
For generations, devotion to Òṣun has been known to bring healing, fertility, harmony, prosperity, and blessings of many forms. Through prayer, offerings, drumming, dance, sacred teachings, and divination, participants gather to honor the sacred waters and the transformative power of Òṣun.
This gathering is presented through the spiritual and cultural work of Yeye’s Sacred Feminine Arts and the Osun Sengese Temple, dedicated to preserving ancestral wisdom, sacred feminine traditions, and Orisa spiritual practice within community.
Community Festival CelebrationSaturday, May 16Ojo Odún – Honoring ÒṣunThe heart of the festival is Saturday’s community celebration, a vibrant day of devotion and cultural expression honoring the Mother of the Sacred River.
This gathering brings the community together in prayer, music, dance, and offerings to Òṣun, celebrating the beauty and blessings of the sacred waters.
Throughout the celebration, Òṣun priestesses will offer prayers on behalf of participants, lifting the intentions of the community and invoking blessings of healing, harmony, fertility, prosperity, and protection.

The powerful sound of sacred drums and the ringing of Aja bells carried by Òṣun priestesses help create a spiritually vibrant atmosphere that welcomes the presence and blessings of Òṣun.
Free Community EventSaturday’s festival celebration is free and open to the public.
Families, elders, children, spiritual practitioners, and all who come in respect and reverence are welcome to attend.

Participants are welcome to bring offerings as a gesture of gratitude, devotion, and prayer.
Suggested offerings include:

Embodying Osun: Sacred Rivers, Sacred Living, Sacred Healing
Taught by Olórí Yèyé Olosunde Aduke 🕔 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM 💛 Class Fee: $35 This sacred teaching explores how the spiritual principles of Yeye Òṣun: Orisa of river waters, fertility, healing, and divine feminine power, can be embodied in daily life through harmony, beauty, wisdom, emotional balance, and right relationship. In this Oakland, Californina class offering, we deepen the work by recognizing that: The condition of our inner waters is reflected in the waters around us. Participants will learn ways to: ✨ Cultivate emotional balance and mental clarity through Osun’s principles ✨ Restore inner flow where there has been stress, heaviness, or stagnation ✨ Strengthen self-care practices that support mental and emotional well-being ✨ Understand the connection between sacred rivers and community healing ✨ Develop awareness of how we care for the waters in our cities as a spiritual responsibility Align daily living with the healing, life-giving current of Osun A call into awareness, alignment, and responsibility.
